Riyadh, July 28, 2024
In a remarkable achievement that underscores its operational excellence, King Khalid International Airport has maintained its position as the world’s leading airport for on-time flight performance for the second consecutive month, securing the top spot for June 2024.
This recognition comes from the global rankings published by Cirium Diio, a leader in aviation analytics, based on a comprehensive range of flight-related data and analyses. The rankings aim to improve flight planning efficiency while enhancing the passenger experience by providing accurate and up-to-date information on their flights.
Ayman bin Abdulaziz Abouaba, CEO of Riyadh Airports Company, which manages and operates King Khalid International Airport, said:
“This achievement reflects Riyadh Airports’ commitment to continuing our successes and ensuring operational excellence with all our partners at King Khalid International Airport. Our goal is to provide travelers with the best possible travel experience and the highest level of service, in line with our strategic aspirations for the capital’s airport.”
He added:
“Our gratitude for this accomplishment first goes to Allah Almighty and then to the wise leadership—may Allah preserve them—for their unwavering efforts to develop airport facilities and their associated infrastructure across the Kingdom. King Khalid International Airport stands as one of these national landmarks, representing the Kingdom’s status and its ambitious future aspirations under the framework of Saudi Vision 2030.”
Abouaba also extended his appreciation to all the national talents working at King Khalid International Airport for their exceptional efforts over the past period, which have elevated the airport to this distinguished global standing. He emphasized the importance of their steadfast commitment to the highest operational standards, a hallmark of the airport’s workforce, and their continuous dedication to enhancing the passenger experience in all aspects.
It is worth noting that King Khalid International Airport's rise to the top spot globally for on-time flight performance follows its ranking by Cirium Diio as the third-best airport in January this year. It subsequently climbed to first place in May and June, reflecting the airport’s rapid and significant progress in recent times.
