His Excellency the Minister of Transportation Launches the New Taxis with Its New Identity at KKIA

His Excellency the Minister of Transportation Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser launched the new taxis with its new identity at King Khalid International Airport, in the presence of His Excellency the President of General Authority of Civil Aviation, Mr. Abdulhadi Ahmed Al-Mansouri, His Excellency the President of the Transport General Authority Dr. Rumaih Mohammed al-Rumaih, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Riyadh Airports” Dr. Mansour Abdulaziz Al-Mansour, which comes as a complement to the company's strategic plans; to enhance the experience of passengers and visitors of The Capital Airport, as well as providing them with the best services.

CEO of “Riyadh Airports” Eng. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Maghlouth clarified, that "Riyadh Airports" worked closely and integrally with all concerned authorities to launch the new taxis, through an integrated plan to provide all capabilities and the finest services to all KKIA passengers, which are considered as integrated services system with the highest levels of satisfaction.

Al-Maghlouth also pointed out, that "Riyadh Airports" has allocated tracks for passengers who want to use the new taxis through all KKIA terminals, as well as adding more wayfinding that illustrate how to get to the new taxis easily. Also, it provided tracks and parking spots for taxi drivers in front of the arrival and departure gates in all terminals. In addition, he added that the new taxis are one of a variety of licensed transportation options at the Capital Airport, in a step that aims to keep pace with the expected growth in the numbers of arriving and departing passengers, and to provide different and special options for all Riyadh’s guests, in order to meet their expectations.

The new taxis include many new features and technologies, whereas, they are operated by a navigation system and a tracking device linked to "Wasl" platform, as well as front and back screens equipped with an electronic meter to calculate the fare. Additionally, the new taxis provide a payment system and electronic evaluation of the driver, besides a Wi-Fi connection and many other features to provide security for passengers coming through the Capital Airport. However, the new taxis are green, which is linked to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; to leave a distinctive touch on the tourists and visitors using it.

It is worth mentioning that "Riyadh Airports" recently conducted training courses for taxi drivers in cooperation with the Transport General Authority, and the Saudi Commission for Tourism & National Heritage at King Khalid International Airport within the program "enriching the visitor experience".
