King Khalid International Airport Launches Its New Destination to Rome

King Khalid International Airport, managed and operated by Riyadh Airports Company, has announced the launch of its newest air route connecting Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, with Rome, the capital of Italy, in partnership with ITA Airways.
Riyadh Airports emphasized that this launch is part of the continuous efforts led by the General Authority of Civil Aviation to connect the Kingdom with the world and to increase passenger numbers in alignment with the ambitious goals of the Air Connectivity Program. The aim is to develop current and targeted air routes and foster collaboration with key partners to explore promising opportunities and expand the horizons of tourism growth. This operational milestone reflects Riyadh Airports' commitment to offering an extensive range of air travel options in collaboration with top global aviation partners.
According to Riyadh Airports, under the agreement with ITA Airways, five weekly flights will be operated between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (RUH) and Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport in Rome (FCO), starting June 2. ITA Airways will utilize Airbus A321 aircraft for these flights.
