“Riyadh Airports” has signed agreements to develop the cargo area at King Khalid International Airport as part of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program of Saudi Arabia, which aims to transform the kingdom into a leading industrial power and an international logistics platform during the inauguration ceremony of the National Industry Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) that was under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
Represented by the acting Chief Executive Officer of Musad Al-Daood, “Riyadh Airports” signed the first agreement with Zajil Express Trading Company, and (TNT) Company for establishing and operating fast shipping services, and the second agreement was signed with (SATS), for the second license for cargo handling services at KKIA.
The Commercial VP of “Riyadh Airports” Gelban Al-Gelban, said that: “The agreements included strategic partnerships with the companies for 25 years, with the aim of developing the cargo area at King Khalid International Airport”.
Al-Gelban pointed out that the first agreement including granting a dedicated area in the cargo area for both companies Zajil and TNT, while the second agreement included constructing, managing and operating another air cargo building on an area of 60,000 m2, with a capacity of 800,000 Tons of shipments per year, including shipments of incoming, outgoing and transit cargo, expected to reach one and a half billion Saudi riyals.
