or the First Time in Its History: King Khalid International Airport Surpasses Its Highest Passenger Records

King Khalid International Airport, managed and operated by Riyadh Airports Company, has announced that it has surpassed its highest operational records in its history at the end of July and the beginning of August 2024. This achievement was revealed in the airport’s monthly reports, which highlighted a new milestone of 3.5 million passengers recorded in July 2024, compared to the previous record of 3.1 million passengers in June 2024—a difference of 400,000 passengers.
The airport also announced breaking its daily passenger record on Thursday, 1 August 2024, when the total number of passengers reached 130,000. This surpasses the previous records of 125,000 passengers recorded on Thursday, 25 July 2024, and 124,000 passengers recorded on Thursday, 13 June 2024. The seat occupancy rate for July stood at 91%, reflecting the airport's exceptional operational efficiency.
Commitment to Flight Schedules
Despite global technical challenges affecting the aviation industry, the airport achieved an on-time departure rate of 88% in June and 84% in July 2024, demonstrating its high level of commitment, robust operational solutions, and comprehensive business continuity plans to handle crises effectively.

The CEO of Riyadh Airports Company, Mr. Ayman bin Abdulaziz Abouaba, stated:
